A couple of days ago, a long date customer called and asked to speak with me directly. I don’t take phone sex calls so much now that I am so busy running this business, but from time I like to take a break and “have me some fun”, particularly with long time customers. So when the girls at the reception told me who it was that wanted to talk to me, I immediately recognize his name and was only to glad to take his call, thinking that we would be talking about …. sex. What else would you want to talk about when calling my number.
Well, as it turns out, a whole lot. We have lots of people working our lines with counseling experience who know a thing or two about some of the challenges that life can throw at us from time to time, and there are those amongst you who call, not because they seek a sexual release, but because they need to speak to a person who cares. And besides, we are a whole lot cheaper!
And thus it was with my call. My caller was going through some challenging times, some related to relationships, whilst others to work, and he needed a friendly ear, a shoulder to lean on.
I was only too happy to be there for him. So if you too are having some issues that seem to take for ever to get resolved, or if you are losing heart and patience with the direction of your life, remember this:
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, then it’s not the end!
Truer words would be difficult to find, don’t you think?
